The Craft Society of Divination ( Book I - III) Review Tour

Book I - IIIa (The Craft Society of Divination 3)
by ELR Jones

 Book Synopsis:

Katerina Deshion is gifted with great power. It is a prestigious honor within the Society that she was born. She has lived with the burden of the responsibility for far too long. Enter Xavian, an angel willing and able to show her what life can be like without the weight of her coven on her shoulders. Freedom comes with a great sacrifice, one that Katerina is willing to pay if it means protecting the ones closest to her. Is she the threat that could tear down the foundation of their Society or is she the key to bringing about their salvation? (Book I)
Vivienne Deshion is the eldest and the one that was supposed to receive the “gift” of being The Chosen One. Her sister is given the power that has been passed down through the generations after a great loss. In turn, she is given an even greater burden. She is now her sister’s caregiver, guide and protector. All of the responsibility is too much and she flees to gain some perspective, to live her life for herself for once. Her conscience gets the better of her and she returns to step back into her ordained role. It is just in time to aid her sister in one of the most precarious times in her life. Will Vivienne be able to be everything that is needed, keep her sister safe and hold the secrets that could possibly destroy all that they are to the Society? (Book 2)
Evian Deshion has always been the one, the only, the lone child of The Chosen One. He has looked for answers for so many years to who he was, where he came from. The adage “be careful what you ask for” is one that he will not soon forget. The knowledge that he is a Halfling (half angel, half witch) and his mother gave up her rights to raise him to protect him from none other than his father was just the tip of the iceberg. What he finds out next will make those things appear as if he just determined the week had seven days in it. Will all that he learns be the death of him, causing his mother’s sacrifice to be in vain? What role do each of his family members play in his possible impending demise? Just how many family members does he have? (Book 3)

My Review:

Book I

Evian's mother has never been there for him. He was raised by his aunt Vivienne and really doesn't know his mother Katerina or much about her life. When his aunt tells him something he decides he has had enough of his mother never telling him anything and decides to go to her and get some answers. Once there he finds out a secret about his family and himself that they are witches from a powerful line that have been split due to his mother's power hungry uncle who didn't inherit the great power. Instead the power went to his sister the second born which set off a feud that lasted many years. His mother tells him the story of growing up in this torn family and the tragedies she faced because of it. She also decides it is time to tell him about his father Xavian and the real reason she wasn't in his life. It was for his own protection from his father who wanted him to go through a ritual than has been a custom of his family and would not be changed. So she took him and left and asked her sister Vivienne to help hide him. Will she be able to protect her son from the man she loves? Or will she lose both to a horrible

 Book II

This book follows Vivienne's side of the story. Vivienne loves her sister but she has always been resentful of the fact that her parents treated her differently and made sure she knew that she was supposed to to protect her sister Katarina who was going to become the chosen and inherit the great power of the Deshion family coven. So her sister has her ritual to take her rightful place Vivienne decides she needs some time away from her sister and the heavy responsibility that comes along with her. Then she meets Gayleth Angelous and they begin a whirlwind romance and eventually get bound to one another and have children through all of this Vivienne's sister is never far from her mind and when she meets Xavian she decides to introduce him to Katarina. Little did she know the sequence of events she was settling off that would lead to much heartache for herself , her sister and her sister's children. When she finds out Katarinais, pregnant she is happy until her sister finds out about the ritual. Once they know of it she vows to her sister to do anything she can to protect her and her children but will it be enough. Can Vivienne help her sister and be the wife and mother she needs to be? Or will everything fall apart leaving nothing but heartache?

Book III

Katarina's husband Xavian has finally caught up with her and Evian. He has taken Evian to his home for the ritual so she goes to her sister to try to find help to get him back but once she has told her sister what has happened her husband calls her to him using her bound with her son in his blood. Vivienne wants to do something to get them back but her husband tells her there is nothing they can do for now. He also tells her they have been invited there for dinner and to see the ritual. Fabian also requests the presence of his and Katarina's daughter to come. Although she doesn't want her to go Vivienne cannot refuse or it will cause worse things to happen so they go along. Will Evian and his mother be able to get themselves and their loved ones away from Xavain before the ritual?

I really enjoyed the characters and plot of this story and I look forward to reading what comes next. I believe Katarina and Vivienne have been through so much and am really pulling for them that everything works out in the end and they get there happily ever after.
